Happy New Year Leopards! We hope you have all had a great holiday and you’re all roaring to begin the New Year with a bang! As you all already know, we’ve had a super busy year here at Dancing Leopard! We really do believe that 2019 has been our best year yet - we’ve accomplished so many of our 2019 goals and we’ve had so much fun in doing so, along the way! We partied at Portobello Road!
In July we introduced a touch of Iberian spirit to Portobello Road, to give you leopards the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the extraordinary world of Dancing Leopard. We invited our fabulous leopards and friends to party with us to celebrate the launch of our brand new SS19 collection - Malibu Moments! It was great to get everyone together to share their passion for the brand and to celebrate everything DL believes in.
During 2019 we also visited Leeds Corn Exchange and Boxpark Hackney, to bring some wild into these two amazing cities! Check our our interview with Boxpark here.
We released our SS19 Malibu Moments Editorial.
The team jetted off to Ibiza to shoot our first editorial of the year - Malibu Moments. We shot this SS19 campaign at the Paradiso Art Hotel and instantly fell in love with this hotel’s artistic spirit and creative vibe. The Malibu Moments campaign embodies the same magical spirit and fierce vibe of the magical Mediterranean island of Ibiza. How amazing does our new model, Raquel look in our Malibu Moments editorial? We popped up at Wilderness Festival!
The DL team partied at Wilderness Festival all weekend long! We sure did bring the wild into Wilderness Festival! It was so fun to meet you leopards to laugh and dance the weekend away! Did you know all proceeds from our pop up shop at Wilderness Festival, were donated to Think Like A Pony - an intervention that transforms the lives of vulnerable children! This meant you leopards were able to look amazing and feel amazing too, as you have helped to support such an amazing organisation!
Swimwear Launch.
Our dream has always been to create a bold, sexy swimwear range which doesn’t cost the earth. 2019 was the year our dream became reality! Inspired by our most-loved statement prints and wild spirit, our innovative swimwear collection embodies the wild soul of our brand. Each and every piece from our new collection has been created with ECONYL®. ECONYL® has been created from 100% regenerated nylon, which has been repurposed from nylon waste from oceans and landfills. You leopards loved our swimwear range so much, you’ll have to watch this space for exciting launches in 2020!
We released our AW19 Written In The Stars Editorial.
In November we were so excited to release our Autumn / Winter collection! Our AW19 campaign champions empowered women who are unafraid to express who they really are! We celebrated the inspirational, magical women who have found self-empowerment and independence within themselves. The main objective of our campaign was to inspire you leopards to achieve your dreams and just go for it, and you all certainly achieved this! ⠀⠀
Dancing Leopard Gives Back.
During 2019 Dancing Leopard supported a vast variety of charities, from supporting tree planting initiatives, to donating every penny we made from our pop up shop's to deserving charities. Supporting charitable foundations has always been, and will always be, at the forefront of Dancing Leopard’s ethos. During 2019 we partnered with the charity Think Like A Pony to help raise awareness and funds for such a deserving cause. Think Like a Pony is a charity who educates and empowers vulnerable children through the use of empathetic riding techniques and relationship building with ponies. In 2020 we will continue to work with a number of charities which are closest to our hearts. Watch this space for news on our new partnerships, which will be coming very soon…
Alongside all of these exciting events, we also launched our brand new Dancing Leopard website, to help you leopards have the best shopping experience with us ever! We also welcomed brand new members into our ever-growing leopard leap AND renovated our fabulous DL HQ in Birmingham! We wanted to say a huge thank you to you leopards who have supported us during our exciting 2019 journey, and we’re so excited to invite you along with us into 2020! We’re certain it’s going to be our most fierce year yet!
