It's not even been autumn for that long and here at the DL office, our fading tans mean we are already dreaming of hotter climates! Our marketing Manager Sarah is off to Bali next month and we're uber jealous so we thought we'd put together a list of our top winter getaways. We can already feel the sandy beaches under our toesies!
Where? Cancun, Mexico
Average Temperatures in October: 27-30 degrees C
What's there? Cancun is known as a highly desirable getaway with sure fire sunny days, 5-star hotels and beautiful long sandy beaches. If you decide to take a trip here, bring all the glamour! Seriously, this place oozes luxury with its crystal clear waters, but when you're bored of the beaches, we recommend a nature spotting trip to the UNESCO biosphere at Sian Ka'an.
Where? Koh Tao, Thailand
Average Temperatures in October: 27 degrees C
What's there? Uk travellers have had a long love affair with Thailand. The people there are the most welcoming, the food is just god damn incredible and the cultural heritage is a sight not to be missed. With gorgeous beaches, incredible palaces and miles of beautiful markets you will be spoilt for choice of what to do when you're there. P.S don't forget the Full Moon Party if you want to be blown away - and be careful with those cocktail buckets ;P
Koh Tao, Thailand
Average Temperatures in October: 23 degrees C
What's there? Head to Corralejo, at the northern-most tip of the island for accommodation hubs. The island is home to splendid beaches where you can gaze upon the neighbouring islet of Lobos. If you're looking for more adventure then we definitely recommend discovering the protected and rugged expanse of the Parque Rural de Betancuria.
Where? Goa, India
Average Temperatures in October: 26 degrees C
What's there? Now we are big fans of Goa here, its one of our favourite destinations any time of the year. In the winter we recommend to head to the South to visit the beautiful beaches with very few people to block your sea views. If you want to show off your dance moves, head to Anjuna and Vagator towards the North for the big parties ( a mixture of techno and psytrance). If you are looking for your yoga crowd, head to the far north for a more chilled hippy vibe. You can practise your sun salutations with like-minded folk from dawn till dusk.
